Designed for continuous water quality monitoring, this buoy integrates an advanced sensor platform capable of collecting real-time environmental data and providing a comprehensive overview of marine ecosystem health.

Real-time multiparameter monitoring

The buoy is equipped with a suite of sensors designed to analyze the key physicochemical parameters of water:

Conductivity Sensor

Measures the electrical conductivity of water, a parameter directly related to salinity. It enables the monitoring of variations caused by ocean currents, freshwater inflows, weather events, and potential environmental changes.

pH Sensor

Monitors the acidity or alkalinity of the water, providing essential information for assessing marine environmental quality and tracking acidification processes that may impact aquatic organisms.

Oxygen (O₂) Sensor

Measures the concentration of oxygen dissolved in the water, one of the most important indicators of ecosystem health. Dissolved oxygen monitoring helps identify conditions that may be critical for marine life, as well as eutrophication events.

Temperature Sensor

Accurately measures water temperature, enabling continuous tracking of environmental conditions and the detection of changes that may affect biodiversity, ocean currents, and biological processes.

Turbidity Sensor

Measures the concentration of suspended particles in the water and the resulting level of water clarity. It is particularly useful for detecting sedimentation events, algal blooms, coastal erosion, and discharges that may compromise water quality.
